With more than 150 years of heritage, Zomorodi Gallery is operated by the Zomorodi family, one of Iran’s long-established families in goldsmithing and jewelry.

The first generation, Sheikh Mohammad Zomorodi, opened his first store in Tehran Bazaar in 1871, when the bazaar was the country’s most important center for gold and jewelry trade. His professional standing also led to his appointment as Nazem of the goldsmiths’ guild, the equivalent of the head of the trade association at the time. The title “Nazem” subsequently became part of the family name.

The second generation, Haj Ahmad Nazem Zomorodi, born in Tehran in 1896, learned goldsmithing and jewelry-making from his father over many years. He successfully continued the family profession and passed its knowledge and craftsmanship to the next generation.

In 1942, Abdolhossein Nazem Zomorodi, the third generation, was born into the family. Over the years, he maintained the gallery and family profession in Tehran Bazaar while introducing a more modern approach to the business.

Today, this established brand operates under Zomorodi Gohar Negar Company, led by Amir Nazem Zomorodi. By adopting modern knowledge and technology, the company has introduced new approaches to production and sales management, expanded through multiple branches, and strengthened the brand’s position in the jewelry industry.
